I have decided that I have way too many stamps on my for sale list that aren't selling. So I am going to try to give them all one last fling, and hopefully inspire someone to give them a new home. The set I used today is called Garden Blocks; it was a hostess set many years ago. I think it's quite cute, but it goes back to 2003, so I doubt many new stampers have even seen it. Looking at the SCS gallery is a little disheartening, because our style of stamping and the products we used were so different when Garden Blocks was brand new. So I thought maybe a little dusting and bit of bling might bring this baby into 2010!
I just love the feeling of completing a challenge. I seem to have forgot about the SCS challenges which is so weird considering there was a time that I literally stalked the forums waiting for them to post. This card combines the Clean and Simple sketch challenge and Colour Combo 267 .
The colours were Sage Shadow, Apricot Appeal and Basic Grey. The Garden Blocks were stamped in Basic Grey on Whisper White and coloured in an with markers. I stamped and coloured them a second time, this time cutting out the little flowers and popping them up! The ribbon is Apricot Appeal and I also used the Polka Dot Background stamp to add a little interest. (and the Polka Dot background is not for sale!) I added some bling in a smoky quartz finish and assembled it as per the sketch!
You can see all the sets I have for sale here. I also discovered a few more sets as I continue to unpack from my garage sale. If you would like to purchase any, email me at scrapnextras@yahoo.com including your address and I will get back to you with a shipping quote. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
That's it for me...I'm off to work. Have a fabulous day and I'll see you soon!
