Hey Stampers! I had a little time to play along with the Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge and it was quick, easy and fun. They called it Block that Kiss and it's super simple with cool results. So simple that I made another card once I got the hang of it.
First up is pirouette pink and Rich Razzleberry butterflies. I inked up my large background stamping block with pirouette pink then stamped my Hero Arts butterflies in Rich Razzleberry. Then I placed a piece of white cardstock on top and pressed it down and voila! I pulled out some Rich Razzleberry designer paper from days gone by and popped the focal panel up on an angle. I finished it off with a few pearls and a Verve sentiment, placed perfectly with my MISTI. I thought it turned out pretty nice. And I was so inspired by the designer paper that I had to try it again with a background of crushed curry.
Same technique, same designer papers and the same stamps, this time with three Thank You's placed perfectly thanks to my MISTI! I love my MISTI!! The sentiments were stamped twice in Versafine onyx black and embossed in clear embossing powder and the panel was popped up because I can't do flat cards for the life of me. All in an evening and I was feeling pretty good heading off to bed to dream of my colour challenge card!
I'm so happy you stopped in and I look forward to paying you a visit real soon! Happy stamping!
