November's Showcase Monday's at Scrapbooker's Paradise will feature some amazing Christmas giftables! The design team has gone all out and you'll be ready for Christmas nice and early! I had a really hard time nailing down what I wanted to do. We have some beautiful canvases by Canvas Corp, and Pails and tins are really fun too. In the end, I decided to alter a candle with Alchohol Inks, since they are our Feature Product right now. Here's how it turned out:

Products used:
Pearls & Rhinestones - Kaiser & Queen & Co.
DP Scraps

Inking the candle up was a cinch. Alchol inks work beautifully on non porous surfaces and the results are so cool. I used Ranger's Sticky Back Canvas for the belly band...it works so much easier than paper since the canvas is plyable and the edge to edge adhesive ensures that it's not going to pop off! I bought the Carnation die set after seeing
this card of Kim's. Mine didn't turn out quite as nice,so I'll have to practice a little more. I finished with some random pearls and rhinestones that fit with the colour scheme, and left it at that.
Now I have to share my happy accident! I cut the flower shapes from some old pieces of designer paper. I'm always careful to conserve paper just in case I run out of the 70 million sheets I have stock piled in my studio. Well being careful had a fabulous pattern to it, and I couldn't help but think that the negative image created in the scrap of designer paper was card worthy. Here's what I ended up with!
OK, so this is totally random. I just started reaching for the little things that hadn't got put away and were still floating around my desk. You know, flowers that don't actually make it on a project, buttons that weren't a perfect match, brads that I don't know what to do with most of the time anyway. I thought it was so fun, and it reminded me of my dd, 'cus she is so random, and loves quirky. That's why I picked the sentiment...this might end up in her lunch box one day!
Ok...that's all I have. Now off you go and have a fabulous day!
