Ahhh Sweet Sunday! Have I mentioned I love my Sundays? A whole day with no plans...well maybe laundry and errands, but no where that I have to be, no schedule to follow, no appointments. Ah yes, I love my Sundays. What is your Sunday looking like? I have a Sweet Sunday Sketch card to share if you have a minute?
Stamps: Be Happy (SU)
Paper: White, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron DP (SU), Coredinations Jillibean Soup pack
Ink: Old Olive, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Scallop border punch & Flower punch (SU), Chocolate Pearls (Kaiser), Mulberry roses (Recollections), ruffled ribbon (Hollywood Vogue Ribbon pk Webster's Pages), red fibre (?), eyelet, pop dots
I went with the colours from Colour Throwdown 114, and honesly this card came together so quickly. I don't have the Poppy Parade or Pear Pizazz colours, so I used Riding Hood Red and thought the green from the Coredinations pack looked pretty close judging from their fabulous samples. I just love this Coredinations paper. It's textured and has an embossed design in it, and when you sand it you reveal a lighter colour on the embossed portion. Very fun to work with!
I decided to pull out a stamp set on my For Sale list, and put it in the limelight. Be Happy was one of my personal favorites, and I was a little insulted that it didn't go, although glad for the opportunity to give it one last fling. I stamped the tag in Old Olive, then the flower in Riding Hood Red and cut them out. I picked up some roses at Michaels, after my friend Michelle revealed her secret, and decided it would make a perfect centre for my stamped flower, (since it was Chocolate Chip in colour). I actually used an eyelet for the first time in forever!! Although you can't see it with the fiber there :( The three flower punch was used for the side embellishments and I added a Chocolate pearl to the center of each. Done, done and done!
Are you ready for more? The Sweet Sunday Stampers have more inspiration up their sleeve just for you! Have a quick peek at their creations, then try out the sketch yourself! Be sure to link it up to Karen's post here, and you might be picked to be featured on her blog next week.
