It's Flourishes Friday, and I am so happy to report, my MOJO has returned! It took a rather long haitus, and I was thinking it might have taken an indefinite leave of absence, but a couple of challenges and it came roaring back! In fact, I'm way late posting this, although I had the card done yesterday. I have been making cards all evening, saying I'll get it posted as soon as I finish this one...but then another idea rounds the bend and here I am at 1:00 instead of midnight LOL!
I always loved the Fan Club challenges every summer. It was this week of challenges that got me hooked on SplitcoastStampers in 2007 and I have never looked back. This card covers Cindy Haffner's and Sharon Harnist's challenges. I wanted to try that vintage look that my fellow Design Team mates seem so adept at. I usually shy away from that, but with my MOJO running strong, I pushed ahead!
I pulled out Berry Sweet from Flourishes latest release and inked up the Blueberry image in Memento Tuxedo Black. I stamped it on Flourishes Classic Ivory and coloured it with my trusty Copic Markers. To achieve that vintage look, I sponged around the edge of the spellbinder's die with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and then around each panel of the Webster's Pages designer papers. I think this crocheted ribbon is my absolute favorite and it's layered with Blue Bayou (SU!) grosgrain ribbon. I added some die cut leaves and a velvet flower by Maya Road. I just love the final result!
The rest of the team has been playing with their stamps as well, so you know you're in for a treat! Have a peek and see what they made for you!
Today is the final day to take advantage of the New Release Bundle! Save 10% off the regular price when you purchase all three stellar sets from this release. If you've been putting it off...well, today is the day!
Well, I'm off to bed. I have to take my youngest to the fair tomorrow...a task that I am dreading and she is so excited about. At least it's only once a year, and I confess to looking forward to those little tiny donuts....and of course more stamping once we're home. Honestly, I am so excited to stamp now! My MOJO's back and your gonna be sorry...do wah do wah do way!!!!
Have a fabulous day! I will try to get these challenge card photographed to share with you tomorrow!
