SSSC60! Wow, sixty sketches! I haven't done them all, but I so love working with them, and Karen and the rest of the Sweet Sunday sketchers!! This week's sketch is fabulous as always!
I was playing around with UTEE today. It will be the feature product in our store (Scrapbooker's Paradise) next week, and honestly, I have tons of it, and have really only done the cracked glass technique! So I googled and googled to find some cool ways to use it, and I found this one by Scrapbooking with Marion, and decided to try it out. I love the way the flowers turned out, and I used the same technique on the Cuttlebug corner flourish!
Now the colours are quite odd, although I like them separate and together. They came to be simply as a result of the way the flowers turned out. I started by spraying white Prima flowers with Indian Corn Glimmer Mist, and Copper Maya Mist. After they dried, Bravo Burgunday and Really Rust were the colours that worked the best.
I followed the technique for the glittered flowers and put the sketch together. I used Labels 8 by Spellbinders for the sentiment, sponging around it before I removed the die. I also gave the designer paper a little spray of Copper mist to make it work with the orange a bit better. The result is not noticeable in the photograph, but it's a quick way to "alter" designer paper.
OK...I'm off to see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers did with this sketch! Come on!
Now that you have some inspiration, play along with us! Simply link your creation to Karen's post so we can all ooh and ah over your project!
I hope to stamp all day tomorrow. How's that for spending my Sunday? I hope you get to stamp too!
