I have serious decision making issues. When Karen sent me this sketch I knew it would be fun to work with...I just loved the set of nine circles! Oh, and there are so many things I could do with it. I mean they don't necessarily have to be circles right? I could make them hearts, or squares or any fancy Nestability shape. I could use some of the million flowers I have...should I do felt or paper, or maybe brads? They would have been fun. And what stamp set? I don't have a lot with small images, but I have some. After checking, I think I had about 20 that would have worked. But wait...what if I did a large image and cut it up into 9 squares..oh now that would be cool. Oh my. So here it is, past midnight when I'm supposed to have it posted and I ended up with circles. The hilarious part is that I pulled out an old Stampin' Up! set that I had never mounted. So, just to slow things down, I had to cut it (yep, it was that old LOL!) and mount it. So after all the decision making issues, I get so stubborn I won't consider another set once I've set my mind to it? Somebody help me!
The set I finally settled on is called "Make it Count". I just received the fabulous Night and Day designer papers, so that helped me settle on the colour scheme. (Who knows when I would have got it posted if I had to make a decision on colour too!) I stamped Life in Versafine Onyx Black...still my favorite black, because it's such a bold, dark black. I cut it out with the Labels 4 Nestablity framing it with black. The little images were all stamped in black and punched out with the 1/2" circle punch. Just for interest I added a fabric brad and button tied with red embroidery floss. The centre features the flower stamp coloured with a red centre and set in a build a brad. I added red gem to the "i" in Life and one of the stamped circle image. I finished by cutting a half circle in Real Red adding a black pearl to balance it out. I love it, and so does my dd and her friend who are up way too late, but it's a sleep over.
I am dying to see all the fabulous things the Sweet Sunday Stampers did with this sketch. Take a quick tour with me K!
