Don't ya just love sparkle? I love glitz, glitter and gems and all that fun stuff and this week we are all glitzing it up for Flourishes Pre-Release challenge! In just a few days we'll be previewing the sets to be released next Friday, and to get you into the spirit of the release, we challenge you to create a card or project that sparkles! The design team stepped up to the challenge too. Here's what I came up with.
Honestly, I had a hundred ideas on ways to add sparkle, and I wish I had the time to try them all. This one took quite a while to complete, but I love the way the wreath from Seasonal Wreaths turned out. I started with Flourishes Crystal Clear card stock. I stamped the wreath with black Stazon then turned the image over, and coloured the balls with Stickles. I was able to colour about 80% of the balls in the first run, then I had to let it dry somewhat before getting in to colour the last few. 
The drying time was quite long, so I pieced together the card while I waited. I wanted to try my new Spellbinders Labels 6, going for a clean and simple design. I added a bit of gold to the card by running gold Stickles along the embossed edge of the white label, then finished with red gems by Kaiser. However, once I had the finished wreath, I didn't think the clean and simple was such a good idea. I tried to re work it, but it was too late to change anything...I had to get the kids to bed and the post up by midnight. That's what you get when you leave things to the last minute. So I know this will stew in my head for a while, and I just might declare a do-over one of these days. Perhaps when I'm back from my parents for Thanksgiving.

I am going to run away for the weekend. It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and I haven't been down to see my Mom in over a month. Long time for this momma's girl to be gone.
