I was still in challenge mode yesterday, so I went searching for another. I have the Colour Throwdown blog on my Google reader, so I decided that would be a good place to start and it was! The colours were completely in my comfort zone and before I got back to my desk, I knew where I was going with it!
The colours for Challenge #55 were Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Kraft and Black. I used Kraft for my card base, and stamped the flowers from Kind and Caring Thoughts on the left. I created a border with a strip of Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper layered on Crushed Curry, then Melon Mambo, then Black. I scalloped the border and added three black brads. The sentiment was stamped just above the border strip, and I added a 1/2 circle of Melon Mambo with another black brad just to balance the colour. The flowers needed something, not having as much pop stamped on the Kraft as perhaps on white, so I added some Dazzling Diamonds and cut two super thin strips of black and added them as stems over the border. I think that's exactly what they needed! The card measures 3" x 6".
I am off to work, and whatever you're doing today, make it amazing! Thanks for dropping in!
Laura
