It's Christmas in July at Taylored Expressions! All Christmas products are 20% off! So to celebrate, Taylor challenged the Baker's Dozen to create a set of cards, either Christmas cards, or a Christmas gift, using the new A2 sized Perfect Packaging that is available today at Taylored Expressions. Well, actually the perfect packaging has been available for a while now, but today, Taylored Expressions introduces Perfect Packaging in A2 sizing...perfect for the standard card. This box is classy, sturdy and is so fun and easy to decorate. I made my gift set in one evening...including the box!
I chose to create a set of cards to give as a gift. The Perfect Packages takes a set of cards to the next level! The box is so sturdy and easy to decorate, and while we've used them for cards, they would be equally fabulous packaging for any gift or keepsake.
I chose to work with SU!'s Upsy Daisy, because it makes simple cards beautifully. Also, when I plan to gift my cards, I want them to be "mail-able" with one stamp, so I kept my layers down, and went back to my old 1/4" grosgrain for the only embellishment.
I decorated the Perfect Package the same as the cards, and since there are two each of three different sentiments, I stamped them on the front of the box. I had in mind to stamp them on the spine, like a book, but they were wider than the two inches.
I pulled out my old Spectrum pads, and brought them back into action for a different look with Upsy Daisy. I also grabbed my baggie of designer paper scraps and tried to use a few up. Each card is the same in design, but I let the colours of the Spectrum pads dictate the layers.
Here's a peek inside the box. The box is 2" deep, so my six cards fit with lot's of extra space, in fact I may make it a set of 10, to fill it up!
