I thought I would share a few RAKs I received this week. I honestly don't think it gets any better than receiving a hand addressed envelope that you just know contains Happy Mail! It's also a good reminder to me, to send out some Happy Mail myself, I certainly have the cards on hand! Well, I recently sent some cards off to Pat Adam's AKA The Rubber Maid for the Cards for Kid's program and Pat sent me this lovely thank you card.
You know it's funny how you meet people in cyberspace and discover you're already connected. Kind of like Kevin Bacon's six degrees of separation. Wouldn't you know when I found Pat's blog through Cheryl Moody's blog, I discovered that Pat is Julie Koerber's (Flourishes' DT coordinator) Mom! Kind of mind boggling...but I just love it.
Thank you Pat for the beautiful card and heartfelt words!
Now I have to resist the urge to taunt you with this one, but how do you hold back the urge to shout to the world "I HAVE A JERRI KAY ORIGINAL!" in my studio? I have to say that this card just sparkles, and I can't capture it with my camera. Jerri's talent with watercolouring is amazing, and this is truly a work of art! From the colouring of the flowers to the shading in the background, this is just so beautifully done, it's awe inspiring.
Having spent some time with Jerri on the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen, I am well acquainted with her fabulous style, and sweet and kind personality, but to hold this in my hands...what can I say...I'm not worthy.
I hope you'll take a minute to hop on over and say hi to Pat and Jerri. My sincere thanks to both of them for sharing their talents online and through "Happy Mail"
Ok, now onto the winner of my blog candy.
Random.org chose #177 ! That was a lot of counting...wish Typepad numbered the comments! I guess I've been lucky because it always spit out relatively low numbers before!
Such a lovely card! And I love the bird image!
