It's Verve's October Project Parade! This month our challenge is to emboss...heat or dry emboss. Well, I love heat embossing. In fact when I first started stamping I embossed everything! These days I try to be moderate about it but you have to admit, it's still a pretty impressive technique!
Of course I chose to heat emboss, so I decided to work with Verve's Thankful Blossoms because they emboss so beautifully! These were my first Verve stamps, and I still love them. I got them in the spring, and they always remind me of spring, so I took my spring colours from the Basic Grey, Lily Kate papers and went from there. I picked Julee's Mojo Monday 57 sketch to get me going and it all came together quickly from there.
The small flowers and leaf were stamped randomly on vellum card stock and embossed with gold embossing powder. Then I turned it over and coloured the images with markers, and when I flipped it back, I gasped as though it were the first time I saw it LOL! So simple, so beautiful! Add a few gems, ribbon and a scalloped border and voila!
Do you get as excited about embossing as I do? Whether you do or not, we want you to come play with us. Dry emboss or heat emboss a fabulous creation and then link it to this post or upload it to Splitcoast Stampers with the keyword VVPP07. Get it in by October 24th and you'll be entered for a chance to win $15 Verve Bucks!
Happy Wednesday! Thanks so much for dropping by...you know I love it when you do!
