WOW...sketch challenge 200! That's a lot of sketches! I think there should be much more of a celebration for 200. It makes me wonder how far can we go? SplitcoastStampers.com has come so far, and I have enjoyed every minute. So here's to SCS on their 200th sketch challenge (raising my cup of coffee!!!) Now here's my card!
I also decided to work with Kristina Werner's Colour Inspiration colours. It was an interesting combination and I like that, and here is what I came up with.
Whenever I visit Kristina's blog I am so taken with her clean and classy designs, I feel the need to keep it simple. I did try to keep mine simple. Trythat is! I only used designer paper on half, and had I not needed to work the Sage Shadow colour in, I might have kept the layers down, but alas, it must have some of me in it!
And you know, this card was SUO (Stampin' Up! only) until I grabbed my Fruit Punch Stickles! It's hard to pick it up in the picture, but it does add a beautiful shimmer in real life.
Recipe: Stamps: Upsy Daisy (SU) Paper: White, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Sage Shadow, Ginger Blossom designer paper Ink: Ruby Red, Sage Shadow Accessories: Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, photo corner punch, gold brads, paper piercer and template, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" square punches, dimensionals, Fruit Punch stickles (Ranger)
Finished card size: standard A2; 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" top fold
By the way, if you haven't already, there is one more day left to leave a comment on my one year anniversary Blog Candy post. I will close it for comments Midnight Friday, October 31 (MST) and draw the winner on Saturday.
Happy Thursday! I hope you have a fabulous day! Thanks so much for stopping by. I always love it when you do!
