All my dh's family are big into the outdoors. Fishing, hunting and camping are where they want to be. So I was thrilled at the stamp sets offered by the Little Paper Shop. Their masculine sets make it so easy to whip up a quick birthday card.
This card was made with the Basic Shapes, All Occasions and Gone Fishing sets. The card base is River Rock and the next layer is Mellow Moss. I stamped the rectangle shape from Basic Shapes in alternating colours of River Rock, Mellow Moss and Soft Sky on Whisper White card stock. Then I randomly stamped the two lures in Versafine Onyx black, and some in the coordinating colours of the rectangles. Two of the lures I cut out and popped up just to add a bit of interest and dimension. For a final touch I set two eyelets on the edge of the card and threaded through some hemp and tied it in a reef knot. The white panel was then adhered to the card with dimensionals. Very simple, and surprisingly easy to line up since they are clear.
I just wanted to give you a heads up that the Little Paper Shop is offering a 15% discount on all stamps until June 3rd. As well, orders of $45 or more will receive Free Shipping to US or Canada! This is a Canadian company, so no customs or duty worries for all you Canadians!
Oh, and last, but definitely not least, I wanted to give a shout out to the newest design team members for the Little Paper Shop. Be sure to have a peek at their blogs for some instant inspiration! Congratulations ladies and welcome to the team!

Have you got any cool plans for the weekend? We are going camping again. Truthfully, camping is not my favorite pastime...I can't stamp when I camp! But the kids and dh love it, so I do it for them. For me it's a chance to get caught up on my reading. I picked up Dr Zhivago last camping trip, so I hope to finish it this weekend. What do you like to read? I'm on a mission to read some classics, and I've loved most of the ones I've read before.
Well, whatever your plans, I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for dropping by. I always love it when you do!
