I did mention that you would be seeing more of this set didn't I? Well, I have so enjoyed working with it, that I could share about 5 more, but I think I will share two, and maybe I'll add the rest to a photo album. Sound fine by you?
OK, here is my favorite of the bunch. Another white based card, but I can't imagine it in any other colour!
The card base is Green Galore, with Whisper White layered on top. I did some free hand lines with my Basic Black and Tempting Turquoise markers. The sentiment on the lower right hand side is from So Many Saying (retired) and it just seemed to fit the sentiment on the main image.
The stamp set is "A Little Bit of Happiness", a level one hostess set, and my favorite hostess set so far! I stamped the flutterby stamp in Basic Black and coloured them in with my Tempting Turquoise, Yo Yo Yellow and Green Galore markers. I added a few corner doodles in each box because I was still holding my marker.
I cut the pieces out so that they were all about the same length as the sentiment box, and then aligned them vertically on Green Galore card stock, which is then layered on Tempting Turquoise. I tied a strip of 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in each of the three main colours, and knotted them. The focal image was adhered to the card with dimensionals, and the final act was to take the Yo Yo Yellow marker to the lower sentiment and highlight it! That's it...my favorite so far, and don't ask how I picked the colours, just accept that they work!
Here's my last...a super simple, one layer card, that you can see demonstrated if you have a March workshop booked! The Flower stamp from "A Little Bit of Happiness" is stamped directly on the Whisper White in Basic Black. The image is coloured in with Stampin' Write Markers in Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink and Almost Amethyst. The image was stamped a second time, and the large flower coloured and cut out, and then layered on top of the corresponding flower with dimensionals.
Since March is all about the markers, the sentiment, from Sale-a-Bration set "Lots of Thoughts" was inked up in the three aforementioned marker colours and stamped directly on the lower right of the card. Some free hand doodles and lines were drawn to finish it off...and there you have it, a 5 minute card!
Did I mention I love this set?
Thats it for today folks! Have a great evening and I'll see you tomorrow.
